MY STORY
With how empowering AND nerve-racking it can be to begin researching clinicians and starting therapy, I’m glad you have landed here at Identity Insights. Emphasizing choice and unconditional positive regard find themselves as core pillars of how I strive to hold space for my clients. With an emphasis on integrating Narrative and Existential approaches throughout my work, I enjoy helping people seize the power to be the authors of their own stories. Our work together centers around your current goals and aspirations custom fit for you. We all have our own lived experience and I strive to connect with you on an authentically human level.
Education:
I graduated from St. Ambrose University with a BA in Philosophy in 2016 and completed my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Valparaiso University in 2021. While I was a student at Valparaiso University, I took opportunities to research the use of different interventions to help with distress stemming from internet gaming and internet pornography use. I integrate the use of Person Centered, Emotion Focused, Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative, and Existential modalities.
