MY STORY

I am confident that therapy can accommodate individuals from all walks of life. No matter the challenges you face, counseling should provide a nurturing environment for you. I encourage the importance of understanding, inclusivity, and the value of diverse perspectives. These tools hold considerable influence, and understanding them is crucial. Be authentic in therapy, and I will assist you in every way to guide you towards healing, self-acceptance, and an appreciation of the importance of mental well-being. One can certainly contemplate the importance of struggle and its transformative effects on an individual, along with the character it fosters within them. With the correct tools, struggle does not have to define you. I believe it is certainly possible to free ourselves from the limitations set by the challenges and traumas we face in life.

Education:

I am presently working toward a master's degree in marriage and family therapy at Capella University, which I will complete in December 2025. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Utah and have worked with a range of populations, from troubled youth in a therapeutic school for girls to homeless and underprivileged populations receiving financial assistance such as SNAP and TANF.

Approach:

Using a collaborative and person-centered approach to therapy, I customize care to each person's or family's specific needs. I am aware that beginning therapy can be a big and occasionally intimidating step in your recovery process. For this reason, I am dedicated to establishing a warm, safe environment where you can feel heard and where your objectives can be accomplished and honored.

Identity:

I am a white, cis-gendered woman. In addition to having a number of family members who are members of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am a firm believer in love and kindness, regardless of the form that it may take.
