MY STORY
As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am passionate about supporting individuals on their journeys to finding their authentic selves and creating an inclusive and affirming environment. My experiences with creating new relationship patterns give me compassion, empathy, and understanding of our unique struggles in the queer community. Each person is an expert in their own life. I’m here to help you navigate your life’s challenges and triumphs by co-creating a compassionate and comfortable space. Having such a space is key to reducing shame and experiencing life authentically. I enjoy working with clients who are navigating depression, anxiety, life changes, kink/BDSM, non- monogamy, polyamory, grief, domestic violence, and trauma—including religious trauma. As we learn to embrace who we are with appreciation and curiosity rather than judgment, we can create the satisfaction that comes from personal growth and living in alignment with our values.
My Education:
I graduated with my Masters’s degree in Counselor Education in May 2024, specializing in Clinical Mental Health, at Adams State University. I incorporate a range of therapeutic theories into my practice, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Existential Therapy, and Feminist Therapy (intersectional feminism). As a former Hypnobirthing Childbirth Educator and birth doula, I also incorporate guided imagery, breathing techniques, and mindfulness to induce relaxation. I strive to empower clients and promote
their well-being by using these approaches.
