    MY STORY

I became a therapist over 9 years ago, and my passion for working one on one with folks has only grown since! I enjoy working with diverse communities, especially those in our trans, non-binary, and other gender diverse circles. As a person of color and member of the LGBTQIA+ myself, I have lived experience understanding the inner dynamics of how power and privilege affect our interactions and communication with others in the world. I am also competent in intimacy counseling of all kinds and enjoy working with couples, specifically focused in areas of intimate communication, sexual dysfunctions, sexual addictions, kink/BDSM.

I strive to be an affirming person personally and professionally, so you will likely find me 'walking the walk,' and involved in the community and my own self-care activities. l would love to be your therapist guide and demystify the medical gatekeeping to connect you to other affirming care providers in your gender affirmation journey!

    My Education:

I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a BA in 2013, and from Valparaiso University with an MA in mental health counseling in 2015.  I also served as the former president of the PFLAG Grand Junction chapter (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) from 2016-2020.  I use a combination of Person Centered, Emotional Freedom Techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Reality Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
