MY STORY
I believe that emotional wellness comes from having a deeper understanding of ourselves and being courageous enough to make choices in service to our core values. I have seen people realize their amazing potential for growth when they are supported with resources to help them determine their own direction. I use an Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach that guides clients to create a relationship of care and self-compassion with the different parts of themselves. From this caring internal base, you are more prepared to walk confidently into the world. Clients are welcomed into a safe environment to be exactly who they are on the path to being more of who they want to be. Every moment together is an opportunity to soften into fullness.
My own personal wellness has come from developing a warm relationship with my mind, engaging in joyful exercise each day, cultivating a supportive community and appreciating our natural resources. I am passionate about friendship, swimming in the ocean, West African drum and dance, and creating opportunities for vulnerability. I embody warmth, curiosity and determination in service to my client’s goals.
Education
I am pursuing my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University with a March 2025 completion date. I’ve been involved in personal development and mental health work since 2013 with a focus on interpersonal relationships and emotional wellness. I studied coaching through the Coaching for Transformation program, the Neuro-Linguistic Programming Center of NYC and Lyra Health Cognitive Behavioral Coaching program. I am an accredited Professional Certified Coach by the International Coaching Federation and have logged over 5,000 hours of professional mental health coaching sessions for clients, specializing in LGBTQIA+ clients, with anxiety and depression experiences.
Approach
I utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) models in my work depending on the needs of the individual, couple or family that I am working with.
